Where Is/Was This?

Does anyone know where this is/was? The building says "To Our Soldier Dead" and has a World's Fair look.

Research indicates that this building is the St. Louis Soldier’s Memorial in St. Louis, Missouri. The memorial opened on May 30, 1938 and still stands today. If you wish to learn more about the Soldier’s Memorial please click here.

Hey,

First I just want to say what a fantastic blog you have. I really enjoy it. Second I think I may have can identify the building in these photos.

I think these photos are from what is now Soldier Field in Chicago. Today its look quite different from when it officially opened in 1924 when it was called Municipal Grant Park Stadium. It was later renamed Soldier Field in 1925. The original design by Holabird and Roche followed that of an Ancient Greek or Roman stadium, its signature feature are the Doric columns that run along the length of the stadium that were "incorporated" in to the rennovations in 2002-2003.
