Does anyone know where this statue is located or whom it depicts?
The statue is the New York Peace Monument and is located on the Lookout Mountain Battlefield in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

I began my interest in vernacular photography by a chance acquisition of over 10,000 negatives dating from the late 1920's through the early 1970's. Looks like the monument in the middle of the Civil War park on top of Lookout Mountain in Chattanooga, TN. If I'm correct, this monument is dedicated to the Union troops that gave their lives - several hundred, into the thousands, in a battle that lasted just a few days. Seems like they call this park Point Lookout.
Thanks! I assumed it was some type battlefield monument but had no idea where it was located.
