Balancing acts! Lions! Tigers! And more!! I believe these are photos from the Shrine Circus, which was held for many years at the State Fairgrounds in Detroit, Michigan. As I child, I attended this circus several times. The pictures are from the late 1940's.

I love the balancing act photo. Notice the men in suits and how polite the audience appears. I also love the popcorn guy in full uniform. The lighting and composition are great, too!
